University of Queensland ilab Incubator Demo Day

The Business Incubator facilities are open for visitors to tour and to meet the current ilab program participants and mentors. The day will showcase the business workings of the incubator and visitors can sit in on pitches from a number of ventures.

At this event ilab is also running Mentor Blaze, where entrepreneurs can sit in on short sessions with some of ilab mentors for feedback and guidance on their ventures. ilab will also play host to a number of emerging ICT ventures from regional Queensland.

Aspiring entrepreneurs, students, business community members, government the public and the media are invited to attend the tailored sessions, and get a stronger insight into the incubator and its important role in the growth of smart startup businesses in Queensland.
Program Coordinator at ilab Leigh Angus says that the teams have been working incredibly hard over the past six months and Demo Day is a great opportunity for them to showcase their efforts to the general public.

In hosting Demo Day we hope to inspire students and hopeful entrepreneurs to come and mix with peers and our mentors, and discuss new technology ideas. Demo Day showcases the ilab incubator which is all about building a vibrant start-up community in Queensland.

Attendees of the event also have the opportunity to win a virtual meeting with Eric Ries, Silicon Valley entrepreneur, pioneer of the Lean Startup movement and author of the New York Times bestseller The Lean Startup.
