AN air-conditioning company which started 11 years ago from a home office tenancy in Murrumba Downs will relocate to Stockland’s business park in a signal that the economy continues to hum for certain Brisbane industry segments.
Builtwright has started construction on the new 1421sqm headquarters at North Lakes Business Park, which will provide Snowdonia with a mix of warehouse, service area and display showroom.
The design includes several sustainable features, with high energy efficiency services including electrically operated shading, solar hot water, energy efficient light, a variable refrigerant flow air-condition plant, and an underground rainwater tank to optimise water usage.
North Lakes Business Park is an 85ha estate located within Stockland’s North Lakes masterplanned community, approximately 30 minutes north of the Brisbane CBD.
Snowdonia specialises in the design and construction of mechanical services and air-conditioning for residential, commercial and industrial properties.
The company, which began operations in 1997, has grown from two employees to more than 35 staff including contractors and support staff.
“With projects up to $3 million in value, moving to North Lakes is just another step in the planned growth,” said business operator Jason Thorn.
“It’s a great development in a great location enabling Snowdonia to showcase what we can do for local businesses and residents with our in-house team of specialists.”
