Yatala enterprise area leads industrial growth

YATALA is emerging as one of the most popular industrial land areas in South East Queensland, with more than 300 businesses now located in the region.
Stockland national trading manager Troy Bryant says with its location next to the M1 there is a high level of connectivity to local and regional markets.
Many of the businesses moving operations to the area are Brisbane or Gold Coast-based. Figures from the Gold Coast City Council reveal around 8000 workers are already based in the Yatala enterprise area with employment expected to increase to between 14,000 and 16,000 in the next five years.
Stockland’s 13-lot subdivision is adjacent to the motorway with more than 70,000 sqm of warehousing and distribution solutions in the M1 Yatala Enterprise Park.
The lots range in sizes between 4,000 sqm to nine hectares, next to the Fosters Brewery site. It is also 40 minutes from the Brisbane Airport and 30 minutes from the Port of Brisbane and provides fast access to the western districts via the Logan Motorway.
Bryant says the M1 Yatala Enterprise Park is setting a high standard in creating an environmentally attractive setting for the hundreds of people who will ultimately work at estate.
“Besides its location in the heart of Australia’s fastest growing region, Yatala also offers competitive land prices, modern infrastructure, and a ready supply of labour and business support from all three levels of government,” he says.
“The M1 Yatala Enterprise Park is setting a high standard in creating an environmentally attractive setting for the hundreds of people who will ultimately work at estate.”
He says landscape architects have incorporated many of the features normally reserved for residential estates, including wide buffer zones of foliage and meandering rock lined ‘creek bed’ style swales.
